The challenge:

In the heart of Madrid, the complex designed by Antonio Lamela -with the Hotel Meliá Princesa as its centrepiece- was suffering structural deterioration that forced its facades to be covered for years. Over 60,000 m² of history needed an intervention to restore safety and, ideally, its shine.

The solution:

We proposed the award-winning strategy: to consolidate the original facade instead of demolishing it, then to create a new, efficient and contemporary envelope over it. A monumental intervention that combines heritage respect with energy technology.
